This detailed guide was produced by members of the BASA Sealants Working group to give specific advice regarding professional remedial and new build application of sealants on site. It is an update of an earlier guide produced for Members
This guide is divided into 9 modules looking at understanding the job, preparation of surfaces, application of sealants, optimising adhesion, joint failures and problems, health & safety, principals of joint sealing, Chemistry of cold cured sealants and Standards for Construction Sealants.
