CANCELLED ****Avoiding Failure with Adhesives and Sealants****

16 May 2019 - 17 May 2019

Unfortunately due to a lack of registrations, this seminar, organised by the Society for Adhesion and Adhesives, part of the IOM3 Surface Engineering Division has been cancelled. The next Seminar on Future Trends in Adhesives and Sealants will be held on 5th December, so please note this date in your diary - all BASA members are entitled to attend at the members rates. The Seminar will be held at the Society of Chemical Industry, London

The aim of this symposium is to demonstrate how to successfully use adhesive bonding as a method of joining in engineered structures. It begins by considering some failures and identifying the underlying problems. This is followed by presentations outlining the key stages to be considered in producing a bonded structure including adhesive selection, surface preparation, joint design, experimental validation and joint inspection using non-destructive techniques. These key processes are reinforced by presentations from industry illustrating how adhesive bonding is being successfully incorporated into their products.
