Sponsors Hodgson Sealants (Holdings) Ltd and Adshead Ratcliffe & Co Ltd sponsored a welcome reception at BSI on Wednesday 11 October 2017 which was well received by the ISO delegates. We are still asking other members involved in sealants to contribute a modest £400 to help cover the costs of the UK hosting the ISO Sealants meetings that took place from 11-13 October 2017. For ISO meetings that take place globally once per year, it is traditional for the supporting County to cover the delegates catering costs for the meetings. BSI will provide the room and tea/coffee but BASA are asked to meet the costs of catering for the 3 days.

BASA Secretary Lorna Williams is the sole UK representative at the ISO sealants meetings, making sure that the interests of UK Sealant Manufacturers and the related industry are represented fully. Lorna volunteers her time for the ISO work, and BASA support the travel costs to attend the meeting. We are pleased that Hodgson Sealants (Holdings Ltd and Adshead Ratcliffe & Co Ltd sponsored the drinks reception on Wednesday 11 October, but we are still asking all our other members with sealants interests to consider contributing a modest £400 donation to help cover the costs of the ISO Sealants meetings that took place in London from 11-13 October. 

The event was well received by the other International participants and helped to publicise both UK sealant manufacturers and also BASA, so these events are important to support, and occur infrequently.

Anyone who is willing to contribute £400 towards the costs incurred last week should email accounts@basa.uk.com to confirm the donation. This will be featured in future Bulletin and Handbook issues.
