Following the publication of the governments consultation paper on banning the use of combustible materials in the external walls of high rise residential buildings, The British Adhesives & Sealants Association (BASA) would support the views of the Construction Products Association that any ban needs to support the principle that external building façades should not promote the spread of fire.
The full BASA statement details important considerations for systems used in the construction of building facades to minimise unintended consequences.
