Countdown to UK Plastics Packaging Tax - 4th Feb 2022, 9am GMT

With the new UK Plastics Packaging Tax coming in place in less than 4 months, producers & importers of plastics packaging needs to equip themselves on how this tax will be delivered, who is liable and who is exempted ?
The government will place a £200 per tonne levy on producers or importers of plastic packaging if they do not include 30% recycled content.
The aim is to encourage greater use of recycled plastic and to help tackle plastic packaging waste.
This tax is expected to have a significant impact to than 20,000 producers and importers across a wide range of industries, including retail, construction and manufacturing.
