BASA Sports Day 2022

Bookings open until 28th June 2022. After a two year gap due to Covid - we are booked to return to the West Midland Shooting Ground and Hawkstone Park for our 2022 BASA Sports Day
All the golfing activities start in the Hawkstone Park Golf Centre, which has its own car park.
Morning - Texas Scramble on the Championship Course (9 holes)
Registration with tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches at 08.30 in the Hawkstone Park Golf Centre. The terrace bar at the golf centre is open from 08:00 and the first tee time is 09.00.
Lunch will be available for all golfers from 12.00 – 13:00 and any morning shooters playing afternoon golf should take their lunch at the golf centre.
Afternoon – The Glue Pot Trophy on the Hawkstone Course (18 holes).
Includes the Nearest the Pin (12th) and the longest drive (18th) Registration for the afternoon golf is from 11.30am. The first Tee Time is 12.30
Our competitions take place at the West Midlands Shooting Ground, Hodnet, Market Drayton, TF9 3LH. Registration with tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches is at 9.15am at the WMSG. The day includes safety training and tuition and all equipment. Directions: at the Hodnet roundabout (A52/A422) exit onto A53 for approximately 1.5 miles, taking the 3rd country road on the right, after ½ mile, take the first right and then 1st gate left. http://www.wmsg.co.uk
Morning - Air Rifle, 22 Rifle, Centre Fire, Multi Calibre commencing at 10:00 with coffee and bacon rolls for participants from 09:15.
Afternoon participants should register at 12:15 when lunch will be served for all registered participants at 12:30 prompt
Afternoon - Shooting Competition - Glue Gun Trophy commencing at 13.15 prompt
The final 4-man flush to finish the day will be held after all teams have completed the 50 Clay competition at approximately 15:30
The free to enter croquet match will take place on the Hawkstone Park Hotel lawn starting at 16.30. Please note that afternoon golfers are unlikely to finish early enough to play croquet.
Dinner and Presentation evening.
The Dinner and Presentation evening is being held at Hawkstone Park Hotel in the Waterloo Suite http://www.hawkstone.co.uk. The function room bar will open from 16:30 (cash bar) and dinner will be at 20:00 in the Waterloo Suite at Hawkstone Park Hotel. Dress is smart casual (no jeans but jacket and tie not required) and there is no seating plan. Prizes will be awarded circa 22.00 after dinner.
