SciTech Adhesive Systems, founded in 2002, are specialists in polymer technology and producers of high performance adhesives and coatings. We serve customers in the converting, packaging, printing and furniture assembly industries among many others.

From a modern state of the art manufacturing plant at Flint in the North West we offer a complete design and development service to ensure products are tailor made to customer needs. Off the shelf solutions are available but more often than not individual customer or end use requirements mean fine-tuning is necessary.

We are members of BASA (British Adhesives & Sealants Association), through which we are part of a large network of adhesive manufacturers allowing us to stay in touch with market trends and regulatory changes.

State of the art storage, mixing, weighing and filtration equipment ensures consistently high quality products which can be supplied in drums, semi-bulk or bulk tankers. Raw material sourcing through multi-national producers allows us to compete on a global basis. Our experience and expertise in polymer and adhesive research & development allows us to solve problems quickly and effectively with minimum delay and disruption to the customer.

We provide assistance with liquid handling including bulk storage, semi- bulk systems, flow control monitoring, filtration and additionally we offer a complete design and build service. We are developing pioneering new products in the areas of security and compostability and have received SMART awards for our work in both areas.

Specialty Minerals Lifford produces a wide range of precipitated calcium carbonates (PCC) at its plant in Kings Norton, Birmingham. The CALOFORT(R) range of ultrafine PCC’s includes both uncoated and stearate coated grades. These are widely used
throughout the adhesives and sealant industry where they provide rheological control and slump
resistance. CALOFORT(R) finds use in systems based on polysulphide, polyurethane, silicone, PVC plastisol and other polymers and a range of

Our ability to provide reasonably small batch runs with short lead times makes our service perfect for any small scale, new product development trials your company may have. We are a TDI registered site making us one of few companies in the whole of the UK who can manufacture and process isocyanate products. With our current TDI, IPDI and MDI licence, we are able to hold raw materials on site prior to production, with most products available for delivery in relatively quick time.
